Glen Rose is the Somervell County seat on the Paluxy River. Big Rocks Park is a city riverfront destination, while nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park preserves dinosaur tracks in the riverbed. Downtown, Barnard’s Mill and the county museum add context to the area’s history.

### Places to know

**Big Rocks Park.** A Glen Rose city park on the Paluxy River.

**Dinosaur Valley State Park.** A nearby state park with riverbed dinosaur tracks, trails, and camping.

### Check at the address, not the town name

- Check park conditions before planning a river visit; water level can affect track visibility and access, and a nearby park does not establish public access through a private parcel.
- School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address.
