Plano's public spaces range from an older downtown district to large nature preserves and newer mixed-use centers. The Downtown Plano Arts District brings shops, restaurants, and the Interurban Railway Museum together in a compact area. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve lies on Plano's western side, while Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve occupies a substantial area along Rowlett Creek.

Arbor Hills and Oak Point offer different trail settings, so an address near one should not be described as having the same outdoor access as an address near the other. Plano publishes preserve information and downloadable trail maps. Use those maps to compare paved and natural paths, entrances, parking, and the everyday route from the property to the places you expect to visit.

### Places to know

**Downtown Plano Arts District.** Plano's historic downtown area combines local businesses with cultural destinations.

**Arbor Hills Nature Preserve.** A western Plano preserve with prairie, woodland, and recreational trails.

**Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve.** A large preserve with paved and natural trails along Rowlett Creek.

### Neighborhoods and districts

### Check at the address, not the town name

- Compare the exact property's route to a preserve entrance using Plano's official trail maps.
- Check Downtown Plano and museum calendars separately from preserve information; these destinations have different access arrangements.
- School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address.
