Quinlan is a southern Hunt County city west of Lake Tawakoni. Its townsite developed around a railway depot in 1892, and the lake later became another important part of the area’s geography. Quinlan, West Tawakoni and Hawk Cove are separate municipalities, so local services and lake-access routes vary by address.
