Getting to know Castle Hills

Castle Hills is a planned community that became part of Lewisville through annexation in 2021. The city’s Castle Hills resident resources explain the relationship between municipal services and the community’s existing associations.

Parkland, open space and trail planning are part of that municipal context. The city’s Castle Hills Corridor Trail project is intended to improve connections toward neighboring communities, but a proposed corridor is not the same as a completed through-trail. Individual subdivisions and associations remain important when evaluating an address.

Check at the address, not the town name

  • Confirm that service information is current and use Lewisville’s resources rather than assuming a mailing-city label determines the municipal boundary.
  • Review the property’s association and any applicable assessment documents, and distinguish existing trail access from proposed extensions.
  • School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address. Use current records: TEA school district locator, FEMA flood maps, county appraisal districts.
