Getting to know Downtown Fort Worth

Downtown Fort Worth includes Sundance Square, performance venues and civic spaces as well as office and residential buildings. Bass Performance Hall and the Sid Richardson Museum are two cultural reference points in the central district.

The Water Gardens and connections toward riverfront trails offer different outdoor destinations. Fort Worth Central and T&P stations connect the central city with regional transit. Within downtown, the closest station, public space and garage can make a meaningful difference from one building to another.

Places to know

Sundance Square. A central district of shops, restaurants and public space.

Bass Performance Hall and Sid Richardson Museum. Separate cultural destinations in the downtown area.

Central-city transit. Downtown stations provide access to Trinity Metro rail and regional connections.

Check at the address, not the town name

  • Check the current transit route and the full pedestrian path between the building and the station, rather than assuming all downtown addresses share the same access.
  • For a condominium or mixed-use building, review parking, loading and association documents alongside the surrounding cultural amenities.
  • School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address. Use current records: TEA school district locator, FEMA flood maps, county appraisal districts.
