Getting to know Fate

Fate’s recreation system includes Robert Smith Family Park, Joe Burger Park and the downtown Fate Station Park. Robert Smith Family Park combines a walking loop with courts, playgrounds and a fitness court.

Fate Colonial Park in the Williamsburg area offers a different setting with a walking trail and catch-and-release pond. The city lists existing amenities separately from future features at Fate Station Park, making its current facilities page the appropriate source when comparing access from an individual neighborhood.

Check at the address, not the town name

  • Check seasonal splash-pad information and the current list of facilities before planning a recreation visit.
  • Review the actual neighborhood’s association and any special-district obligations, and distinguish city parks from privately managed neighborhood amenities.
  • School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address. Use current records: TEA school district locator, FEMA flood maps, county appraisal districts.
