Legacy / Legacy West

The Legacy area in west Plano contains two different commercial destinations: The Shops at Legacy and Legacy West. The Dallas North Tollway separates parts of the area, so the district name alone does not describe the route between shops, offices and residential buildings.

Legacy West’s storefronts line Windrose Avenue and include the Visit Plano Visitor Center. The Shops at Legacy is a separate mixed-use district around Legacy Town Center. Comparing an address here means identifying which side of the tollway it is on and which destinations are accessible from that building.

Check at the address, not the town name

• Check the real pedestrian crossing and driving route between the property and the desired destination, especially across the tollway.
• For a townhome or condominium, review the property’s association, parking access and any commercial-event arrangements before relying on the general Legacy label.
• School attendance zones, flood risk, HOA obligations, utilities and property taxes follow the exact address. Use current records: TEA school district locator, FEMA flood maps, county appraisal districts.
