Poetry is a town crossing Kaufman and Hunt counties, north of Terrell around FM 986 and FM 1565. The community was previously called Turner’s Point and voted to incorporate in 2020. Its official maps are useful for distinguishing the municipality from the broader rural area that also uses the Poetry name.
